COMPANY BRAIN

Put your company’s knowledge to work in every sales conversation

Your best answers already exist, in playbooks, product notes and the heads of your strongest sellers. The Company Brain is where Canopy draws on that knowledge so guidance sounds like your team, not a generic assistant.

WHAT GOES IN

Four kinds of knowledge that make guidance useful

Products

What you sell, who it is for, how it is typically adopted and what it does not do.

Playbooks

Your team’s approach to discovery, evaluation, pilots and next steps. The “how we do it here.”

Positioning

How you describe your value, how you compare with alternatives and the language you want sellers to use.

Proof

Approved examples, evidence and answers to common security, pricing or implementation questions.

FROM KNOWLEDGE TO ANSWER

Knowledge only helps when it meets the moment

A folder of documents does not help a seller mid-call. What helps is the right piece of that knowledge, connected to what this buyer cares about and what was just said. Canopy combines three sources: your company knowledge, the buyer context for this meeting and the live conversation.

Fictional example: a pilot conversation
Buyer
“We’d want to try this with part of the team first.”
Canopy · from Company Brain · Pilot playbook
“Start with one workflow. Agree on success criteria before expanding.”
Seller
“Makes sense. Which workflow would you start with, and what would tell you it worked?”

Illustrative, fictional example. Not a customer quotation.

GETTING STARTED

How to assemble useful company materials

You do not need a perfect knowledge base on day one. Start small with the material sellers reach for most, then expand.

Start with

  • Your current discovery guide or question bank
  • A one-page description of each product and who it is for
  • Answers to the five objections your team hears most
  • Your pilot or evaluation approach

Then add

  • Approved security and implementation answers
  • Positioning against common alternatives
  • Examples your team is allowed to reference
  • Pricing and packaging guidance your team already uses

Leave out

  • Outdated decks and superseded pricing
  • Drafts nobody has approved
  • Anything you would not want a seller to say to a buyer
KEEPING IT CURRENT

Maintain approved answers like a product

  1. OWN

    Give each area an owner

Product marketing might own positioning; sales leadership might own the playbook; security might own security answers.

  2. REVIEW

    Review on a rhythm

Revisit the most-used answers when products, pricing or policies change, and remove what is out of date.

  3. LEARN

    Learn from real conversations

When sellers keep hearing a question the Company Brain does not answer well, that is the next thing to write down.

How material gets into your Company Brain depends on your setup. Ask us during a demo which sources your team can use today rather than assuming every file system or tool is connected.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Does Canopy connect to every document tool we use?

Not necessarily. Talk to us about the sources your team relies on and we will tell you what is supported today.

How is this different from searching our shared drive?

Search returns documents. The Company Brain is used to shape guidance and answers in context, during the conversation, based on what the buyer just said.

Who decides what counts as an approved answer?

Your team does. The Company Brain is only as good as the material you choose to include and keep current.

Do we need a lot of content to start?

No. A discovery guide, product summaries and answers to common objections are a strong starting point.
